The redemption that took months to land
Bilt's 2.0 transformation introduced Bilt Cash, and BLADE sat on the redemption list as "coming soon" for months. The delay mattered because of a rollover rule: only $100 of unused Bilt Cash carries into the next year. Now the booking path is live — BLADE is integrated into the Bilt app's Travel Portal. The partnership itself began in 2024, when Bilt members first gained perks with BLADE, but the redemption piece took until now to arrive. Two seats, $350 each, no carryover
The redemption mechanics are precise. Members can apply Bilt Cash toward two BLADE flights per calendar year, with up to $350 per seat and a $700 annual total. Each credit attaches to one seat booking: a seat that costs less than $350 absorbs only what it costs, and leftover credit doesn't roll into another ticket or carry over. A member booking two cheap seats and leaving part of the $700 unused hits the same two-flight ceiling they would have with two maxed-out credits. Bilt Cash covers the seat itself, not incidentals such as luggage fees. Members can pay the difference on pricier flights with Bilt points, a linked card, or both, and the option surfaces as a payment method at checkout in the app. Combine everything, and a single booking can draw on Bilt Cash, Bilt points, and a credit card simultaneously.
Where points stack up against cash
Redeeming Bilt points toward a BLADE seat values them at 0.7 cents each — below the 1.25 cents per point members get elsewhere in the Bilt Travel portal. The distinction matters most for Bilt Cash holders, since that currency has few redemption outlets elsewhere in the ecosystem. The Bilt Palladium Card's welcome offer includes $300 in Bilt Cash alongside 50,000 bonus points and Bilt Gold status through the following calendar year, after $4,000 in nonhousing purchases within 90 days of account opening. That single sign-up nearly funds a standard airport helicopter transfer on its own, and the bonus points plus status arrive before any regular earning begins. For members who held Bilt Cash and watched the rollover deadline shrinking, BLADE is the first redemption that feels proportionate to what the currency can buy.
Route prices versus the $350 credit
Scheduled helicopter transfers between Manhattan and JFK or Newark typically run $200 to $250 per seat, so the per-seat Bilt Cash credit covers a standard airport hop with room to spare. Longer routes cost more: Hamptons flights start at $795 per seat, pushing past the cap and requiring points or cash for the balance. BLADE can expect an influx of Bilt-inspired bookings as members rush to spend accumulated Bilt Cash before the deadline.
